Boil Channa | Cup Channa | Trini Carnival Eats 🇹🇹

This Vegan Boil Channa is a popular snack at some bars around Trinidad and Tobago. It's usually eaten by itself, like a soup and it's usually served in a styro cup or bowl. Ingredients: 1 cup of dry channa/chickpeas soaked overnight in water and 1/4 tsp of baking soda 1.5 tbsps of garlic 3-5 bandhania/chadon beni leaves 3-5 pimento peppers hot pepper A few sprigs of thyme 1 tsp of roasted ground geera 1/4 tsp of baking soda 1 tsp of salt 2-3 cups of water Pepper condiment 4 cloves of garlic 4 bandhania/chadon beni leaves 4 hot peppers 1/2 tsp of salt Juice of 1/2 lime or lemon 1/4 cup of water
