Camino de Madrid: Walking from Segovia to Alcazarén (Camino de Santiago) Days 5-8

The Camino de Madrid follows historical roads with origins from the Celts, Romans, Visigoths, Arabs, Mozarabs, Astur-Leonese settlers, shepherds, day laborers from Galicia, and medieval pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. It's a route without crowds with a quiet pace under an endless Meseta sky. We started our walk on September 26, 2024 in Madrid, Spain. We arrived in Sahagún on October 9, 2024. Our 323 km journey took 14 days (13 days of walking and 1 rest day). In 2024, we walked the Camino Sanabrés, Camino Lebaniego, Camino Vadiniense, and the Camino San Salvador. We hiked the Camino Frances, Via Podiensis, Camino Primitivo, and Camino de Invierno in 2023, the Camino del Norte in 2019, and the Camino Frances in 2017.
