Afterward, we head into nature: In Ispica, we hike through the impressive 13-kilometer-long gorge – past rocks, caves, and rugged landscapes. Of course, Peppa, the little dog we found here in Sicily in mid-December, is always with us; she has been our loyal travel companion ever since. After the hike, we go to Avola for a cannolo and coffee with Wita before spending the night right by the sea in Fontane Bianche. The next day, we drive back to Ispica, stroll through the old town, and enjoy a really good pizza at the unique cave pizzeria Incavo. ...
