These include an unwavering adherence to the straightforward (but not literal!) meaning of the Torah; the rejection of false philosophies such as Pharisaic / Rabbinical Judaism, Christianity / Messianic Judaism, and Western subjective morality; and the belief that, while Hakhamim can be facilitators in helping others understand the Torah, they are not to play the role of dictator or “Pope”.
