Automatic-Systeme Dreher GmbH carried out a press retrofit of a stamping press line built in 1982. The mechanical forming press from the manufacturer Weingarten with a press force of 4,000 kN and the associated coil processing line have been fundamentally overhauled. This included, for example, the replacement of the coil straightener and the coil feeder as well as a new safety concept including new CE-Label. On the electrical side not only the press main engine was replaced, also the outdated system control of the stamping press line was replaced by a modern Siemens S7 controller with condition monitoring. The downtime of the stamping press line for the press retrofit was only two weeks. The condition monitoring now records line performance, line condition and energy consumption as well as the pressing force. Through the production data monitoring further optimizations are now possible!
