This custom firmware was made possible thanks to ‎@hackaround and the AmberELEC team for allowing him to do this. It is originally a fork of a cfw he developed for the D007, but many changes had to be made, and they're difficult to explain. It's not perfect yet, as I'll briefly discuss in this video, but once you get through a few set-up kinks, it's a much better experience than the original Android firmware. Now, games are scaled to their proper aspect ratio, all buttons are mapped properly, and you have complete access to retroarch. I don't think N64 is ready yet, but you cant expect much N64 from this chip set anyway. The only real problem with this CFW is that the display is upside down. You can't flip the retroarch menu yet, but you CAN rotate your games 180⁰ and save overrides for each system, so you only have to deal with the mindbending menu navigation once per system. Rotate video output 180⁰ and save override. From there on out, your games will be displayed properly, and all controls work just as they should. We also have a full PPSSPP menu now. For some reason the right LED strip doesn't work with this build, but it's kinda cool how the thumbstick LEDs light up when moving the stick. I believe they can all be shut off in the tools settings.
