The lecture covers the following topics: DNS history and architecture Basic concepts and operating principles Namespace DNS record types Name resolution (recursive and non-recursive DNS) Name registration In the video, I specifically overdid it with commands :) Here's how it should have been: For Windows, I forgot the set directive in nslookup. The record type is specified like this: set type=MX For dig, the query is made like this: dig domainname.com MX +answer I didn't cut it out. I make mistakes too :)
