Should You Buy the TeSeek Mini 11 V2… or the V1?
These images were taken with a 3.7 kg RedCat 51 setup and a 4.7 kg MK127 setup on the TeSeek Mini 11 V2. So I tested the V2 against my modified Mini 11 V1, checked the guide logs, pushed it with a longer focal-length travel rig, and then opened it up to see what TeSeek actually changed. The big question: Did TeSeek actually improve the Mini 11, or is the V2 just a quieter version of the same tiny mount? In this video I test: TeSeek Mini 11 V2 vs my modified Mini 11 V1 RedCat 51 at 3.7 kg carried weight SVBONY MK127 at 4.7 kg carried weight Counterweight vs no counterweight PHD2 guiding performance Real subs Teardown comparison RA drive changes Belt reduction vs the V1 planetary gearbox setup The short version: the V2 guided better than my modified V1 in the RedCat test, and the MK127 test suggests this little mount might actually work as a compact long-focal-length travel setup. Carefully. With more testing needed. Because clouds remain undefeated. Gear links SVBONY MK127: https://www.svbony.com/products/mk127... The MK127 setup weighed about 4.7 kg fully loaded, including the dew shield, EAF, QHY MiniCam 8, StellaVita, cables, and everything carried by the mount. The RedCat test was closer to a guiding torture test near the celestial equator. The MK127 test was a compact long-focal-length travel-rig test. More tests are coming with the SV580, more MK127 time, and possibly the C6.
