I Shot M51 with the SVBONY MK127 — This Cheap Setup Surprised Me | Galaxy Season on the Cheap

SVBONY MK127 review — can this compact 127mm long-focal-length scope actually work as a budget galaxy hunter? In this video I test the SVBONY MK127 with the SVBONY SV605CC camera on M51, using 100 x 2-minute exposures for a total of 200 minutes of integration. I also compare where this scope fits against familiar small catadioptric options like the Celestron C5, Celestron C6, and other compact Maks/SCTs. The MK127 is interesting because it gives you 1500mm of native focal length, which is the same native focal length as a Celestron C6, but in a smaller and much cheaper package. It also includes accessories that often cost extra with SCTs, including a reducer, visual backs, dual finder brackets, and a dual-speed focuser. But it was not all smooth. Collimation was different from my classic SCTs, cooldown took longer than expected, and I did notice a little mirror flop. So this is not just a “look at the pretty picture” review — this is a real-sky look at what this scope is good at, where it gets weird, and whether I would actually recommend it.
