The STIHL FSA 250 is a powerful professional battery powered clearing saw from STIHL, delivering performance comparable to the petrol powered FS 240 clearing saw. Designed for demanding landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks, this cordless brushcutter provides the cutting power professionals need while benefiting from low noise and no emissions during use, making it ideal for use around areas such as hospitals, schools and housing estates. Part of STIHL’s professional AP battery system, the FSA 250 battery brushcutter is best suited to cutting tall grass, dense vegetation and tough brush. Its high-performance makes it a versatile tool for everyday professional maintenance work. The combination of a powerful EC motor, robust drive components and an effective anti vibration system allows the STIHL FSA 250 clearing saw to work with a wide range of cutting tools. Supplied as standard with the BrushCut 300 3 brush knife, it can also be fitted with AutoCut, TrimCut, DuroCut, PolyCut, GrassCut and WoodCut cutting tools, enabling it to tackle a huge variety of clearing and mowing applications. Whilst the BrushCut is a great standard attachment for tackling tougher material, one of the more popular mowing heads would be the STIHL AutoCut 46-2 line head. This gives you a mowing diameter of 48 cm, which really helps make swift progress when trimming larger overgrown areas. As with all professional STIHL battery tools, the FSA 250 cordless brushcutter has been designed with comfort, ergonomics and durability in mind. A bike handle provides excellent control when working across wide areas, while the folding clamp allows quick and easy adjustment to the optimal handling position, and the anti vibration system also helps reduce fatigue while working. The robust construction of the STIHL FSA 250 includes a durable steel drive shaft, which is the reason you can run such a wide variety of cutting attachments. And as with all STIHL brushcutters and clearing saws, it has a lighter aluminium outer shaft. A removable steel mesh air filter helps keep the motor cool during operation, further enhancing reliability and durability. In terms of control, the FSA 250 clearing saw features an intuitive control handle with three selectable speed settings, allowing you to match performance to the task. The STIHL FSA 250 cordless brushcutter is supplied with a STIHL ADVANCE universal harness as standard, providing balanced weight distribution for your comfort. We recommend spending some extra time setting up your harness comfortably, as that will certainly pay off after a long working day. With the STIHL AP 500 S battery, working time varies depending on the cutting attachment you are using. With a mowing line head, it delivers between 18 and 32 minutes; with a polymer blade on the PolyCut mowing head, it increases to approximately 30 to 65 minutes; and when fitted with the standard metal blade, the working time ranges from around 25 to 55 minutes, depending on the material that is being cut and the working conditions. Before starting work, always remember to check the working area for wildlife. Particular care should be taken to look for ground nesting birds and small animals such as hedgehogs when cutting long grass and scrub.
