Every July, you can hear the bagpipes and watch the tartan kilts swing on a mountain meadow in North Carolina. Thousands attend one of the most authentic Scottish experiences you'll find anywhere in North America. I have a special affection for it since I was born in Glasgow Scotland many years ago.
