THE STAR BOARDER (1919) - Larry Semon (updated Mk III version!!)
So you may recall, a couple of years ago I posted a reconstructed version of Larry Semon's THE STAR BOARDER, which was immediately upgraded to a longer version, when some further footage was found. Wellll...... It's time for a brand new much longer Mark III version, that increases the footage from 12.20 to 22mins!!! A very kind Semon Super-Fan scanned their longer print and generously allowed us to use it. Not only is it better quality, but it includes loads more fun footage including Snooky the Humanzee smoking, Larry playing a trumpet, lots of extra footage near the end AND Frank Hayes in drag. What more could you want? Tons of great visual gags, plus Lucille Carlisle, Bill Hauber, Frank Alexander, Chai Hong and Norma Shearer as one of the Big V Beauty Squad! Synopsis: Larry is happy as Larry in prison, but unfortunately (for him) he gets released. After finding his double to swop places with, he finds he's sentenced to death. Such is life......
