SANGO SANDS OASIS - Best Campsite Views in the UK? Tour & Review | April 2023 | NC500

In today's video, we look at Sango Sands Oasis campsite, which is located above Sango Sands Beach in Durness - on the very north coast of Scotland and right on the popular NC500 tourist route, near Smoo Cave and Cocoa Mountain in Balnakeil Craft Village. The views are spectacular. The site facilities were kept immaculately clean and the site was quiet overnight, even though it was pretty busy when we stayed. The site's fully open from March/April to October but you can stay there the rest of the year with limited facilities (but there are public toilets close to the site). Only 35 of the pitches can be booked in advance. The rest (including all tent and non-electric pitches) are allocated on a first come, first served basis from noon each day. The site does get busy and seems to be in demand. If you do pre-book, you must arrive by 5pm or confirm a later arrival by email, otherwise your pitch will be given away. It sounds harsh but the site is sought after and they do make this very clear before you book. We would definitely go back - for the view alone, but the facilities were also good.
