Dunnet Bay CAMC Campsite - Tour & Review | Scotland's North Coast | NC500 | Motorhome | April 2023

In this video, we take you round the Dunnet Bay Caravan and Motorhome Club campsite, which is located on the A836, which forms part of the North Coast 500 route. It's about 10 minutes from Dunnet Head, Britain's most northerly point on the mainland, and about 20 minutes from John O'Groats, the further point from Land's End. It's a relatively small site but has all the facilities you need. All pitches are grass, and some are right along next to the sand dunes, with a view of the stunning beach below. The facilities may be considered to look dated were kept immaculately clean when we stayed. It's also warm, which was very important as we had snow on the morning we woke up there! There are keypads to get into the toilets/showers and the code is provided when you check in. There's a slightly strange approach, through a public car park, and the reception (and in fact the facilities) is on the ground floor of a larger building which is home to the Seadrift Centre (which seemed to be closed and scaffolded when we were there). There is direct access from the site onto the expansive and stunning Dunnet Beach. This beach actually faces west, so you can be treated to some pretty good sunsets. If you can tear yourself away from the beach, there is also a forest walk across the road - we didn't do it but it sounded like it would be good so I'd try to do it if I went back to this campsite and had more time.
