Authorities Demolish Homeless Tiny Homes on Venice Boardwalk; Daisy's Initiative Thwarted

On January 24, 2024, Daisy, known as the Venice Healer, faced a regulatory issue with her three tiny homes on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. A team comprising Los Angeles Police Officers, Park Rangers, and their Chief informed her that her homes were not compliant with ordinances for street performers and vendors. Authorities gave Daisy a grace period to move her tiny homes. She relocated one to Santa Monica, but the remaining two were demolished. This situation has sparked discussions on the compatibility of grassroots initiatives with city regulations.
