Skiing the Legend - Comstock Couloir

On the weekend of April 19th, 2026 Declan, Brigette, Kelsey and myself headed into the Dawson range with an excellent weather forecast to try and ski the Comstock couloir, one of the 50 Classic Ski descents of North America. It will also give us a chance to look at Mount Donkin, Michelle, and the other peaks back in the Dawson Range! looks like I messed up east/west a couple times on my Donkin slope descriptions First skied in 2008 by the ‪@GregHillenterprises‬ party the line wasn't publicly repeated until ‪@michaelcwirth‬ skied it solo in a single day in 2022. ‪@CodyTownsend‬ Featured the line several times in his 50 project. In 2026 the ‪@malinoyes‬ party completed the third public descent of the Comstock. Located Glacier National Park, off Rogers Pass British Columbia access to the line is difficult requiring getting up and over the Asulkan Pass on the approach. Follow us on instagram!
