Rear Panel & Exhaust Silencer Removal - 2008 Smart Fortwo Pure 451 71BHP

Work continues on my 2008 Smart Fortwo Pure 451 71bhp. In a recent video where I had carried out a vehicle health check / condition report, I identified that the o/s (right) mounting on the combined silencer / catalytic converter had rusted / corroded off. In this YouTube video from Auto Knight, I remove the rear panels and lower tailgate to improve access to the exhaust system and remove the silencer, first disconnecting the connector blocks for number 1 and 2 lambda probes / oxygen sensors. I deep clean the black Tridion using my Karcher pressure washer, as there was a build up of mud and tar spots under the body panels and use WD40 / GT85 to soften the tar spots, making removal easier with rag. I also remove the 'birds nest' of wiring for the aftermarket rear parking sensors that had been fitted to this car and reinstate the wiring to the tail light using solder and heatshrink.
