RAIN, RESILIENCE AND RELEASE | Camino Le Puy | via Podiensis | DAY 7&8

Day 7 and Day 8 of my Camino journey were filled with challenges, reflections, and powerful moments of release. On Day 7, I faced one of the toughest days so far—walking through relentless rain, slippery and muddy trails, with no shelter in sight. Despite the physical struggles, this day reminded me of the strength and resilience we all carry within us when faced with adversity. Day 8 brought a shift in energy as I passed through beautiful medieval towns like Saint-Côme-d'Olt and Espalion. Along the way, I had a deeply spiritual moment at the Church of Saint-Pierre of Bessuéjouls, a place that felt like it held a unique energy. To top it off, I captured a beautiful Camino tradition: the release of a stone. My friend, someone I met on this journey, found his moment to let go of something he’d been carrying—both symbolically and literally—by releasing a stone into the river. The Camino has a way of teaching us lessons through its challenges and beauty, pushing us to reflect, let go, and grow.
