🏔️ An Unexpected Encounter in the Pyrenees: On the Trail of Chamois (and a Herd of Deer!) A memorable day spent with Patrick in the heart of the Pyrenees, packs loaded and lenses sharpened, for a very specific photo mission: to track down chamois. These mountain acrobats don't let themselves be approached easily, and to find them in their natural habitat, we had to climb nearly 1,000 meters! 🥵 The effort paid off. Patiently positioned, we were able to capture a few discreet shots of these athletes with their slender horns, symbols of altitude. A true delight for wildlife enthusiasts. But the highlight of the day awaited us on the descent. As the sun began to skim the ridges, transforming the valley into gold, we came face to face with an impressive herd of deer. Several does, a few fawns, and a majestic stag watching over his group, strolling peacefully. The contrast with our fleeting encounter with the chamois was striking: this massive and trusting herd offered us a rare moment of contemplation. These images bring back the echo of our footsteps on the trails, the pure mountain air, and the magic of the Pyrenean wildlife.
