Crystal Ball Manipulation Lesson 03 — Floating Ball Illusion

Welcome to Palmvex Crystal Ball Manipulation Fundamentals. This is Lesson 03 of a complete beginner course on crystal ball manipulation. In this lesson, we learn a floating ball illusion. In contact juggling, this type of movement is often known as Enigma. The movement is controlled by only two contact points: the ring finger in front, and the thumb behind the ball. The other fingers help hide the real contact point, creating the illusion that the ball is floating. We will practice opening and closing the hands sideways, moving the ball up and down, and adding a small circular rolling motion to make the illusion cleaner. This lesson also covers two common problems: letting the hands drop down, which exposes the thumb, and letting the fingers stick out, which breaks the visual shape of the illusion. This course focuses on isolation, visual control, and foundational ball manipulation techniques. New lessons will be added to this playlist.
