Pilates with a Yoga Block
Although the Yoga block is not a traditional Pilates prop, it is amazing much it can enhance the Pilates technique; it gives a greater sense of engagement of the pelvic floor and deep core muscles, and creates many interesting options for variations and modifications . We will start with standing positions, and incorporate exercises for challenging balance and stability, before moving to the more classical repertoire. At the end we will also use the block for stretching and releasing tension in the neck and chest
