THE MEETING PLACE!!!

Many of these songs are born from the questions I carry while reading Scripture. Sometimes they rise out of the awe and hope I find in Revelation. Other times they come from places of confusion, grief, doubt, or unanswered questions. Instead of hiding those struggles, I bring them into worship. May every song point beyond itself to the One who has been faithful through it all. In Christ is my song. Eden – humanity walking with God as His image-bearers. Tabernacle – God's presence dwelling among His people in the wilderness. Temple – heaven and earth overlapping in Israel's story. Jesus – the true Temple, the meeting place, the Sacrifice, the Great High Priest, and the embodiment of God's presence. The Spirit – forming a people into living stones, a royal priesthood. New Humanity – not a new religion, but Jews and Gentiles reconciled in Messiah as one new humanity. New Creation – not escaping earth, but the renewal of all things until "the dwelling place of God is with humanity." How does the God of Israel restore His creation and dwell with humanity again? The answer is Jesus. He became: The Temple where heaven and earth meet. The Sacrifice that deals with sin. The Great High Priest who represents humanity before God. The very Presence of God in human flesh. The firstborn of the new creation. The head of a new humanity being transformed into His image. Eden → Tabernacle → Temple → Messiah → Spirit-filled people → New Creation.
