SAIKI's story is NOTHING like I expected. In Part 1 of the BAND-MAID documentary, we follow SAIKI from her childhood, growing up with her mom and stepdad, to singing karaoke in bars as a kid because her mom loved bringing her along. It was cool hearing how shy she actually was despite performing from such a young age. What surprised me the most was how many different jobs she had before BAND-MAID. Singing, dancing, modeling, acting... she really put in the work long before meeting the band. It makes her success feel even more earned. I also loved hearing her first impressions of each BAND-MAID member and how she described all of their personalities. It adds so much context after reacting to so many of their songs. And I can't lie... that Jordan sneaker collection got my attention too. 😂👟 This documentary made me appreciate SAIKI even more, and I can't wait to dive into Part 2!
