An invasion of a residence in São Roque (SP) resulted in the capture of criminals after an intense police chase. Armed bandits entered the home of Marlene Moraes e Silva, a lawyer, threatening to shoot if she did not open the gate. They stole jewelry and watches before fleeing with her as a hostage. For about 30 minutes, Marlene was assaulted and threatened while the robbers demanded information about valuable objects. The unexpected arrival of the lawyer's secretary increased the number of victims. After the robbery, the suspects fled towards Cotia (SP), but were quickly located by the police, who initiated a chase. Two of the criminals were found hiding in a residence after a resident reported them. Two others were located in a sewer pipe. The fifth member of the group was found in a wooded area, wounded after a shootout with the police.
