Giulian Salvador, a municipal prosecutor in São Paulo nicknamed the "genius of competitive exams," was the victim of a scam that nearly cost him his life. In a house in Cotia, Greater São Paulo, Giulian suffered ten stab wounds after being deceived by Gabriel Conceição Costa, with whom he had a romantic relationship. Gabriel presented himself as a millionaire heir, gaining Giulian's trust. During their relationship, which began through an app, Giulian transferred over R$160,000 to Gabriel under false promises. On May 19th, Gabriel set up an ambush, promising to show him a car and resolve financial matters. At the meeting place, a modest house belonging to the suspect's gardening parents, Giulian was attacked. Gabriel's father, returning early because of the rain, found his son blocking his entrance.
