Villagers Protest Foreign Liquor Shop in Kegaon | Indefinite Dharna Begins in Kalahandi

Residents and Self-Help Group (SHG) members of Kegaon in Golamunda Block, Kalahandi district, have launched an indefinite protest demanding the relocation of a foreign liquor shop operating in the middle of the village. According to the protesters, the liquor shop was leased through the State Government's lottery system for a three-year period. However, villagers allege that the outlet has been established within the village despite strong local opposition. The villagers claim they had earlier requested that the shop not be opened in the residential area.
