How Much SILICONE is Too Much?? LET'S FIND OUT!

Today, we're doing another acrylic pouring experiment with silicone oil. I'm trying to see if there is a difference if you add too much silicone to your paint. I'm curious to see if there will be more cells in the one that has more silicone oil than what I normally add to my acrylic pours. I really don't do puddles pours like this often, but it's always fun to do something challenging. You can always learn something from a challenge and that's what makes them fun to do. Email me: [email protected] For each painting, I eyeball about 40% acrylic paint, 40% Floetrol, 20% water, and 1 - 3 drops of silicone oil in the colors I choose. I sign every piece and cover them with 3 coats of Krylon low-odor, clear gloss spray. I do most of my pour painting with Liquitex or Artist's Loft unless I see something fancy while I`m out. **Please Note: It takes about 30 days for each painting to fully cure. At this point, they are washed with soapy water to remove the silicone residue on the surface. They are then sealed with Krylon Clear Gloss Spray or gloss varnish.**
