Tezu: Team ArunBhoomi, in collaboration with DFO Lohit, conducted a surprise inspection at Telluliang Industrial Estate following a tip-off about hoarded illegal 'Kathha' logs. The Estate Manager presented valid Transit Passes (TP) for the stored logs but failed to provide GST and revenue related documents, stating they were already taken into custody by GST authorities for scrutiny. Additionally, the site lacked proper signage. DFO Lohit confirmed that the Kathha logs were legally transported under valid TPs and assured that the department is intensifying efforts to curb illegal felling of Kathha trees.
