L’Antico flagello: il drago nel Medioevo - di Dario Angelibusi

What is the origin of dragons? What did they look like? What were their weapons? These are just some of the questions Dario Angelibusi attempts to answer in this video, dedicated to those who, in the Middle Ages, constituted the Enemy par excellence. Drawing directly from medieval texts (or medieval transcriptions of older texts) such as the Bible, apocryphal texts, bestiaries, Nordic and Germanic sagas, chivalric romances, and the Chronicles, the video reconstructs the terrifying figure of the dragon, as it must have been etched in the imagination of the Middle Ages.
