Do This If Your Car Door Gets Rusty

In this step by step tutorial, I will show you how to safely remove rust from a car door and repaint the surface to prevent it from coming back. Following the correct steps and waiting times is critical for a long lasting DIY finish. 🛠️ Step by Step Process: First grinding: Start grinding the heavy rust off the car door. Detail grinding: Clean up the rest of the rust using a mini grinder for tight spots. Rust treatment: After the second grinding, apply a rust removal spray. Chemical reaction: Wait at least 15 minutes for the spray to work its magic. Prep the surface: Clean the area thoroughly with a window cleaner or any other clean oil-free fluid. Masking: Mask off the surrounding areas to protect the original paint. Primer coat: Apply the primer. If you are using a spray can, do not forget to shake it first! Drying time: Let the primer dry for 5 minutes. (You can apply more primer coats if needed). Prep for paint: Do the masking process again before moving on to the color. First paint coat: Apply the first coat of paint. Remember to shake the can well and let it dry for 5 minutes. Second paint coat: Apply the second coat of paint and wait another 5 minutes for it to flash off. ⏱️ Timestamps: 0:00 – Intro 0:10 – Grinding 1:48 – Cleaning 2:26 – Masking 3:38 – Applying primer 4:10 – Paining 4:42 – Final results
