Nothin’ Man. One Night on the Streets with Jake and Roby

“You’re treated like you don’t exist… like a nothin’ man.” These are the words Jake, one of Emmanuel City Mission’s regular visitors, shared with Director Roby Curtis before they spent a night sleeping rough together on the streets of Brisbane. Nothin’ Man is a raw, honest and confronting look at life after dark when there’s nowhere safe to go. From finding a meal to searching for shelter, this documentary reveals the fear, isolation and exhaustion of street life and the deep need for something better.
