THE EU'S 21ST SANCTIONS PACKAGE AGAINST RUSSIA Following weeks of negotiations, Brussels has agreed on the 21st sanctions package against Russia. The new round includes restrictions on Russian LNG imports and visa restrictions on Russian combatants trying to enter Europe, but falls short of what many European countries, including Poland, had hoped for. POLISH FM ON SANCTIONS TARGETING RUSSIA Commenting on the latest sanctions package, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that he wished they were tougher, but still Russia is unlikely to be happy about what had been agreed. EXPLOSIONS IN WESTERN RUSSIA AFTER UKRAINIAN DRONE ATTACK Ukrainian drone attacks have caused fires and explosions in western Russia. Amid the continued long-range strikes coming from Kyiv, Moscow has begun importing fuel from India.
