Lorena and Wylie Brown's Peak 1

Lorena and Wylie Brown's Peak 1 on October 25, 2025. Brown’s Peak, the highest of Arizona’s Four Peaks, is a rugged 7.6-mile round-trip climb rising to 7,657 feet. The trail begins as a steep forested ascent before breaking into open alpine slopes with sweeping views of Roosevelt Lake. The final approach—the Brown’s Peak chute—is a short but intense class-3 scramble up a steep, loose rock gully requiring hands-and-feet climbing and careful footing. It’s exposed, thrilling, and rewards hikers with one of the most spectacular 360° summit views in central Arizona. We missed the summit because I couldn't find the route, we had a late start, and we nobody passed the section while we were there...so we'll be back.
