CarLab | Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV, ¿es una idea la tecnología híbrida enchufable?

Electrification can bring significant advantages to any vehicle. And it doesn't have to be full electrification—as in BEV models—but a small portion can be sufficient. We've seen this in recent years, first with self-charging hybrids like the Toyota Prius and more recently with plug-in hybrids. The latter have become very fashionable lately... due to the emergence of numerous Chinese brands that use this type of propulsion for their SUV models. However, other European, Japanese, and Korean brands have been offering it in their large models for some time now. A good example is the Hyundai Santa Fe, which has had a version of this type since the previous generation and continues to offer it in the current one. Specifically, the vehicle combines a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor to deliver a combined output of 288 hp; when paired with the Calligraphy trim, the result is the most exclusive version in the current range of this Asian model.
