Elusive Shortwave band still making life difficult. Sony CRF-320 restoration Pt.2

This Sony CRF-320 radio receiver is coming along, just a little slower than I had hoped. I have managed to iron out the issues with the FM as well as the MW/LW tuning, which were primarily mechanical. However, the Shortwave still refuses to work. The fact that the service manual is in a lower resolution than I would have liked is the main contributor to this difficulty, so I appeal to anyone with a better sample to get in touch with me.
