Being Sensible To The Decisions In Our Palette - Friday, Week 52 (05/02/2021)

Last day of our Bold and Sensitive Week! Yesterday somebody very kindly payed us a compliment and stated that they believed that our project had a ton of great examples of Boldness and Sensitivity. While we're deeply grateful and we appreciate the sentiment, we'd ask them to reconsider their claim that "Our Painted Lives is full of BS". It may not be misleading but it's perhaps a bit too candid. We finish off our week with once again a brushy, committed painting. I think throughout the week we went something like bold-sensitive-bold-sensitive, so today being bold is a fitting conclusion. A scruffy painting of my sister Luisa with her nest-like hair. Btw, I don't always use the crease in the paper to my advantage, but today I wanted the gesture of the mouth to create tension with the fold and I really liked the result. It catches her almost mid-breathe. Next week we have my conversation with RvK, so the video is going to be a bit different, but hope you guys enjoy it!!! Donations to ourpaintedlives.com of $20 or more will automatically enter you into a monthly raffle of a special daily painting all throughout 2021. http://www.ourpaintedlives.com/donations Every month, all throughout 2021, among the people that support us by purchasing our daily paintings, we will raffle a painting that I will be working on throughout the month. So if you buy a painting you automatically have a chance to get another one for free! Win/win!
