Neon Cunha – Trajetórias
A Black, Amerindian, and transgender woman, Neon Cunha dedicated her life to changing the abusive legal procedures required in name and gender change processes for trans people. Her journey began in Minas Gerais and continued to São Bernardo do Campo (SP), where she found inspiration to reinvent herself as a person and a woman in the streets of downtown São Paulo and through contact with literature, fashion, and affection. The "Trajetórias" series explores the careers and contributions of various Brazilian figures to the country's arts and culture. Topics covered include theater, television, film, experimentation, photography, music, cultural management, memory, ancestry, the struggle of Indigenous peoples, Afro-Brazilian culture, and gender issues.
