A relação das irmãs Rilda e Ruth Rocha
Brazilian writer Ruth Rocha is the honoree of the "73rd Itaú Cultural Occupation," which presents the public with a journey through her literary production and creative universe. Bringing together books, manuscripts, characters, and other records, the exhibition highlights her writing, marked by listening to her childhood, encouraging different generations to build an affective and critical relationship with reading. In this video, Ruth and her sister Rilda reminisce about their childhood and the family environment that sparked their love of reading. They share memories about discovering libraries and the habit of reading together every day: a partnership that spans decades and remains alive. In the encounter, Rilda reads the classic book "Marcelo, marmelo, martelo" to Ruth, celebrating the connection that unites life and work. "Ruth Rocha Occupation": open to the public from May 9 to August 2, 2026, with free admission and open to all audiences.
