(2 Jun 1998) Albanian/Nat NATO has stepped up plans for a possible troop deployment in Albania as hundreds of ethnic Albanian refugees streamed into the country, fleeing Serb mortar attacks in Kosovo. An estimated 13-hundred refugees entered Albania at the weekend, fleeing some of the heaviest fighting in Kosovo this year. Meanwhile, the Albanian government warned it may rethink its policy on the fighting in Kosovo after reports of repeated mortar attacks by Serb forces. More than 200 people have been killed so far this year in fighting between Serbian forces and ethnic Albanian guerrillas from the Kosovo Liberation Army -- or K-L-A. A-P-T-V has these exclusive pictures from the border region of Albania.
