Kosovo - Serb village attacked by Albanians

(18 Aug 1998) T/I: 11:02:07 In a rare twist to the story of war in Kosovo, a Serb village has reportedly been surrounded by rebel ethnic Albanian separatists. The inhabitants of Bica, 60 kilometres west of Pristina, say they have been under attack for the past seven nights. The villagers have now armed themselves and dug trenches in an attempt to defend their homes. Four Albanian families also live in this village of more than 300 people. They say they are being forced out of their homes for their own safety. SHOWS: KOSOVO - 18/08 VS landscape around village and village; Albanian man moving out of village with his family.
