I Used ELBOW GREASE on 50 Year Old Honda Paint… WOW! #vintagemotorcycle #motorcyclerewind #SL350 Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @motorcyclerewind   In this episode, we crack open a fresh can of Elbow Grease and put it to work on not one, but two vintage Honda SL350 gas tanks. We’ve got a Candy Sapphire Blue tank and a Candy Topaz Orange tank that have both seen decades of dirt, grime, scratches, oxidation, and general neglect. But before we write them off, we’re going to see just how much shine is hiding underneath all those years. We start simple with Sprayway Glass Cleaner and an old toothbrush to loosen up the dirt and grime. After a good wipe-down, both tanks already look a hundred times better — but around here, that’s just the warm-up. Next comes the exfoliation process: 2000 grit sandpaper to smooth out the old paint and bring the surface back to life. Once everything starts feeling smooth as glass, we break out the big guns: Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound, a drill, and a foam pad. That’s when the real magic happens. The paint starts coming back. The color gets deeper. The shine starts showing up. And before long, these old Honda SL350 tanks are looking like mirrors. To finish it off, we seal everything up with Meguiar’s NXT Tech Wax 2.0. The result? WOW. WOW. WOW. A little patience, a little polish, and a whole lot of elbow grease can completely transform old motorcycle paint.
