48 years ago, when I was five years old. It was a memorable place, the only place I ever ate out with my beloved grandfather, just the two of us. Tokyo Kaikan Ginza Sky Lounge. My grandfather was strict, but he always showed me a great example. He dedicated his life to being a French chef and was awarded the Order of Culture; he is my pride and joy. After 48 long years, standing in this place again, and tasting the same omelet rice I had back then, my sepia-toned memories came flooding back into vivid, vibrant colors. This is the story of my grandfather and me, 48 years later, woven only with words and the melodies of Mozart, without any dialogue.
