Beautiful 1941 Thrige elevators at Aarhus Rådhuset (Town Hall), Aarhus, Denmark

Video recorded 2/2/2024 The Aarhus Town Hall has 7 passenger elevators in total and as of March 2024, all of the elevators are still original and they likely forevermore will be as this building is heritage listed meaning that all of the components in the entire building must stay original. This area has 3 traction elevators with beautiful wooden cabs but only the 2 left ones run as a set and go 1 floor higher up to floor 5. Elevator information: Brand: Thrige Year built: 1941 Capacity: 450 kg / 6 persons Serial numbers: 379447379449 / 379446448 / 379500 (Left to right) Floors served: Left 2 elevators: 6 (P, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) Right elevator: 5 (P, 1, 2, 3, 4) The inspection paper on these elevators note that these elevators were modernised in 2009 - 2010 but the wooden cabs, doors, fixtures, call buttons and external floor indicators are all still original so the machinery must've been the only thing that's changed. The Aarhus Town Hall was constructed in 1941 during the Second World War and at the time, it cost 8 million DKK to build. I was unable to film the elevators in the tower but Heritage Elevators (‪@HeritageElevators‬) did film them as well as these ones in 2012.
