Geleceğin Havacıları Böyle Yetişiyor
At Eskişehir Sabiha Gökçen Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, students are receiving rigorous training for the future of aviation, preparing for their professional lives among working aircraft. At Eskişehir Sabiha Gökçen Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which offers training in aircraft maintenance, students are continuing their preparation for the professional world. Most graduates from the school, which trains students in aircraft fuselage, engine, and avionics, quickly find employment. The school also sends students abroad for vocational training almost every year through its projects. Graduates are primarily employed in related aviation and IT sectors, particularly at the 1st Air Supply and Maintenance Center and Turkish Airlines. The student placement rate in higher education exceeds 40 percent. A new project is currently underway at the school. The "Project for Training Highly Qualified Technical Personnel for the Turkish Aviation Sector" is being implemented in cooperation with the European Union and the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey through the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Sabiha Gökçen Vocational and Anatolian High School's project aims to support youth employment and reduce youth unemployment, thereby increasing the number of people employed and retaining them. "We will have gained 100 qualified technical personnel." Project Coordinator Fatih Baltacı stated that 64 of the trainees have already started working. Baltacı, noting that the project was designed to recruit 100 qualified technical personnel, said, "We are training 100 people as part of this project. We are also striving to employ another 100. So far, we have completed training for three groups in CNC, quality control, and non-destructive testing. Of our 75-person group, 64 are currently employed at a workplace. They have already joined the workforce. Our aircraft maintenance training is currently ongoing. When their training is completed around May 10th, these trainees will also be employed. As the name of our project suggests, we will have provided the Turkish aviation sector with 100 qualified technical personnel." "The school has a very large hangar" Sarpcan Demirel, who took the course as part of the project, explained that they were highly productive due to the practical experience. Demirel, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in the aviation industry, said, "My primary goal is to achieve success at a flagship airline like Turkish Airlines, and the joy I'll experience tomorrow when I can troubleshoot an aircraft will be my greatest achievement. We learned certain things at vocational schools, but six months have passed since then. Some things are forgotten, but we've reviewed them here, and I've added a lot to what I've learned. I can say this is due to the professionalism of the instructors here. Furthermore, this school has a very large hangar with working aircraft. When we combine what we've learned with practice, we achieve the highest possible efficiency. There's a true team spirit within. There's no individual skill involved. There's cooperation. There's a sense of looking out for each other, and this fosters high self-confidence and a sense of security." "I want to be an aircraft technician now." Tenth-grade student Merve Şen stated that her dream of becoming a pilot has been superseded by her dream of becoming an aircraft technician. Şen, noting that she hasn't encountered any difficulties, said, "There aren't any. I believe women can also do the jobs men can do. I don't face any difficulties in my classes or workshop hours. I try to do it myself, believing I can do it without any help from my male friends. After this, I'm thinking of studying at university. I want to become an aircraft technician. Actually, before coming here, I had a dream of becoming a pilot. But now I want to become an aircraft technician. I'm here because I think I'm interested in aviation. My teachers also helped me come to this school. I chose aviation because I believed I could do it." ============================ To Subscribe to the Türkiye Newspaper YouTube Channel: ► http://bit.ly/Turkiye-Gazetesi Türkiye Newspaper Official Website ► http://www.turkiyegazetesi.com.tr Türkiye Newspaper Social Media Addresses ► / turkiyegazetesi ► / turkiyegazetesi ► https://plus.google.com/+turkiyegazetesi ► / turkiyegazetesicomtr Türkiye Newspaper News Feed ► http://www.turkiyegazetesi.com.tr/rss...
