This video is exclusive and unique, but I want to share it with everyone interested in learning how to produce excellent quality natural products. Vegetable Liquid Soap Recipe Materials We will divide the materials into three groups: the oils, the soda solution, and the additives. Oil 1 kg of oil (can be olive, corn, canola, etc.) or a mixture of several types of oils. Other materials (additives) 150 g lauryl ether (increases foam production). 200 g Amide 90 (extracted from coconut and acts as an emulsifier, stabilizer, and attacks fats). 20 g of citric acid or boric acid (to correct the pH if necessary). 30 ml of fragrance (of your choice) for each 1 liter of ready-made neutral liquid soap. Soap base dye of your choice. Alcohol to spray on the foam that forms on the surface of the liquid soap (do not use alcohol near fire). 150 g of glycerin (a skin humectant). 400 g of sugar (catalyst for the glycerin). 400 g of hot water to dissolve the sugar. Procedures for making natural vegetable liquid soap. Weigh the oils that will be part of the recipe. Place the oils in a stainless steel or enameled bowl and heat in a double boiler until it reaches a temperature of around 75ºC. Weigh the sodium hydroxide and measure the amount of water for its dissolution. Place the water in a bowl, then add the sodium hydroxide, stirring until it is completely dissolved. Do not use hot water. Avoid breathing the fumes, as they are toxic. When the temperature of the sodium hydroxide solution (lye) is around 60ºC, slowly add this solution to the oil mixture while vigorously stirring with a mixer. Beat the mixture until it has a creamy consistency, similar to soft polenta. A small amount of alcohol should increase the saponification speed. Let the mixture cook in a double boiler for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. After the mixture has cooked in the double boiler for 40 minutes, add boiling water and use the mixer if necessary to help dissolve the mixture. As you add hot water to dilute the cooked soap, test small portions by cooling them to ensure the desired consistency (at this stage you will need to add around 10 liters of boiling water). Let it cook directly over low heat for another 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn off the heat and add the lauryl sulfate. When the temperature reaches around 40°C, you can add the Amide 90, glycerin, and sugar solution. Check the pH. A liquid soap should have a pH between 8.0 and 9.0. Measure the pH of the solution with indicator paper. Use a citric or boric acid solution to neutralize the solution. Now you can add the fragrance. Then add a few drops of dye and mix well. After the resting period, separate the impurities. Place the liquid soap in a glass or transparent plastic container that can be sealed and let it rest for a week. This resting time allows any turbidity eventually produced by the fragrance or the presence of insoluble soap to settle at the bottom of the container. If a whitish film forms at the bottom of the container, carefully remove the clear liquid to avoid remixing these impurities. Keep the jar in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
