In just three days we stacked an entire wall of firewood against the house — and finished way faster than we expected. The secret was a simple homemade tool for cutting logs: it sizes every piece to the same length automatically, so the wall came out perfectly even and the work went three times faster. But first we leveled the ground and redirected the water away from the wall — otherwise the bottom rows would have rotted away within a couple of seasons.
