RAM also allows switching of tasks so you can do more without re-launching an app or a game. More RAM, better multi-tasking. Less RAM, poor multi-tasking. What is ROM? Read-Only Memory A non-volatile memory that stores data used in computers It's your phone's internal storage memory It's your microSD card or your USB flash drive RAM vs ROM RAM can store memory temporarily ROM can store memory permanently or as long as the device still works. RAM stores memory when it is working and requires power to store data ROM can store data even offline or no power is available R/W on RAM is faster compared to ROM CAN you expand RAM using RAM expander? YES BUT, you are only expanding the swap file or the zram. ZRAM is the equivalent of virtual RAM on Windows You are not expanding the actual RAM.
