Chiyoko Szlavnics - Constellations I-III (2011) for piano and sine waves 00:00 Constellations I 03:17 Constellations II 06:38 Constellations III Hyun-Mook Lim, pf // Constellations I-III is based on a set of drawings generated as variations of one single drawing. One of that set served as the basis for several musical scenarios exploring different relationships between the piano and sinewaves. Parts I & II are relatively straightforward. Part III invites the pianist to improvise a dialogue with the elaborate sinewaves. Particular musical intervals are suggested as a basis for this section.
