The Shad's are Back -Catching bait offshore - South pier Durban
The guys headed out for a quick 2 hr session to get some live bait and try for the odd game fish. The Backline was full of shad and mozzies 😂 which is a good sign for the season to come. Using the Hayabusa sabiki jigs made catching them super easy. The conditions were worsening and after the smaller sharks came out in numbers, destroying the live baits the guys called it in. (please take note of the closed season - All the shad were released) Tackle used Okuma Metaloid slow jigging rods in spin and casting models.
