Cold Soaking Wine Grapes for Better Extraction
Here is a good technique used by many wineries to improve color and flavor extraction. A cold soak is a type of extended maceration that is performed before fermentation and allows water soluble compounds to dissolve into the liquid. Use a cold soak on your wine if you want to extend the time on the skins. The grapes I am using are Tempranillo from California. Support The Home Winemaking Channel: / makewine
